Hardware

Built with compact form factor and IP65-rated housing, the Apex-7.3 is ideal for year-round UK weather. It’s extremely resistant to rain, dust, and temperature (from –30°C to +50°C).

This charger also delivers power from a standard, single-phase 230V connection, pushing a consistent 7.3 kW through a type 2 tethered cable (5m only) or an untethered universal socket. 

Regarding safety, the device comes with an integral RCBO. This handles residual current protection (AC 30mA / DC 6mA), overcurrent, and surge protection.

You get all of this within a compact device, measuring at 320 x 190 x 144 mm that weighs between 2.4 to 5.6 kg (depending on configuration).

Software

Through the Apex Smart App, you can transform this EV smart charger. 

The app allows you to: 

- Start, stop, or monitor charging sessions. 

- Schedule off-peak charging to reduce energy costs. 

- Connect and manage multiple charge points with a single account. 

- Alongside this, Apex allows for wifi, Bluetooth, or 4G connectivity. It also has built-in support for OCP1.6 (with 2.0 coming soon).
